Spam Inquiries in Efty Investor
Efty Investor helps you attract genuine buyers for your domain names while keeping spam out. Every inquiry submitted through your for-sale landing pages, domain shop, or Efty.com listing goes through multiple layers of protection.
Why does Efty Investor flag inquiries as spam?
To ensure you receive only high-quality leads, Efty Investor utilizes a leading third-party spam detection service.
It automatically flags suspicious inquiries based on:
- Known spam IP addresses or blocked networks
- Disposable or blacklisted email domains
- Automated submission patterns
Inquiries flagged as spam appear under Inquiries > Spam and are retained there for five days.
What makes Efty Investor unique?
Unlike other domain marketplaces, Efty Investor gives you full visibility into what’s flagged as spam.
Even though these inquiries don’t pass the first spam check, you can still review them, just like checking your junk mail in Gmail.
We do this because sometimes legitimate buyers get caught by spam filters. This can happen if:
- The buyer uses a VPN or shared IP address
- Their email provider appears on a blacklist
- Their ISP or email routing looks unusual
By keeping these messages available for five days, you may still discover genuine opportunities that might otherwise be lost.
Tip: We don’t send email notifications for spam inquiries. Check your spam folder periodically to avoid missing potential leads.
How does Efty Investor verify legitimate inquiries?
For inquiries that pass the initial spam filter, Efty Investor adds an optional second layer of protection, email verification.
The inquirer must confirm their submission by clicking a verification link sent to their email address before their message reaches your inbox.
This ensures that every inquiry you receive has been submitted by a real, verified person. If the person who submitted the inquiry failed to complete this step, we will show the inquiry in your Inquiries > All Inquiries folder.
Tip: If you have email verification switched on, we don’t send email notifications for inquiries that aren't confirmed. Check your All Inquiries folder periodically to avoid missing potential leads.
How can I recover a legitimate inquiry?
If you find a genuine message in your Spam folder:
- Go to Inquiries > Spam.
- Select the inquiry you want to recover.
- Click Mark as not spam.
The inquiry will be moved to Inquiries > All Inquiries and will not be deleted after five days.
