I am a US business. What is my "Proof of Registration"?

Proof of Registration is a document that verifies your business is legally registered and recognized by the government. For Efty Pay’s KYC requirements, the document must be dated no more than three months before the date of submission.

Acceptable forms of Proof of Registration for US-based sellers include:

Business License

  • A business license confirms that your company is officially registered with a local or state government and authorized to operate.
  • If your existing business license is older than three months, you must request a re-issuance or an updated copy from your local or state business authority, typically through their website.

Certificate of Good Standing

  • This certificate shows that your business has met all state requirements, such as paying taxes and submitting necessary filings.
  • To obtain a certificate with a recent date (within three months), you can request an updated version from your state’s Secretary of State office. Most states allow you to order a new copy online or via mail.

EIN Confirmation Letter

  • This letter, issued by the IRS, confirms your Employer Identification Number (EIN) and can serve as proof of your business registration.
  • If you need a recently dated document, contact the IRS for a reissued confirmation letter or check your IRS online account for any downloadable documentation.

Important:

If you do not have a document that meets the date requirement, you must request a newly issued or certified copy of one of the acceptable documents listed above. Please ensure the document is dated no more than three months before the submission date to meet Efty Pay’s KYC requirements.
